The Sunset
Shreds of crimson purple span the outback sky, casting dull gray clouds westward. It is dusk, and what is left of the great sun dims away into a melt of grapefruit, yellow and clouds, taking with it murky powder blue ranges of the hills. As the skies merge into one, he heaves a fiery tamarind, illuminating the echoes of birds on the flight home, and shrubs whispering their raspy, unending narrative.
